AFE designs and manufactures the cooling beds, which are used for having straight and uniformly cooled bars and sections, in differenttypes and dimensions according to customers requiements. Since rake type cooling beds give best results for optimum cooling this system is generally used in our designs. In this system the rolled materials are conveyed step by on fixed rakes by the walking beam action of moving rakes. In round bar and small section Rolling mills the hot rolled materials are first cooled of on cast iron rakes for improved straightening effect.
All of our cooling beds are desidned tominimize the thermal stresses and distortions,and especially in long cooling beds the critial part are cooled with water.
